The first thing you will notice about the Camon C9’s design is that it borrows a lot from Tecno Boom J8. The design looks good and the sandstone back cover gives it a premium feel. Since this phone has a 5.5 inch display, it really feels big when holding with one hand but you get used to size very fast.
As for the display, it is a 5.5 inch one with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, this gives a pixel density of 401 ppi.
The Tecno Camon C9 comes with a 1.3 GHz Octa-core Mediatek MT6753 (64 bit) processor paired with 2GB of RAM and Mali T-720 GPU. Storage space is 16GB but the good thing is that this can be expanded up to 128GB using a MicroSD card. For the short period I spent with this phone, performance was quite good but did not blow my mind.
The one thing you will probably like about the Tecno Camon C9 is its cameras. It has a 13MP unit with LED flash at the back and front. This is quite impressive especially the 13MP selfie one. The back camera takes some good photos but I noticed that it tries so hard to process them and this is not good in low light conditions. The front facing camera on the other hand is very impressive, takes some good shots in any lighting condition.
Tecno has included a 3000 mAh battery on the Camon C9. This battery is non removable even though the back cover can be removed. For me this battery is enough for almost anyone as it can last you through the whole day without any issues.
