Before you proceed, it is important to know that TECNO engineers are working hard to provide fixes to the current HiOS issues on the C8, those willing to wait will receive a stable official OTA update with said
fixes.There is also a beta testers group, who will get to test updates before they are released to the public, you can join the group here.
But if you want to downgrade back to Lollipop 5.0, keep in mind that you shall NOT receive any HiOS OTA update.
Proceed with caution.
What you will need:
1. A Computer or Laptop with Internet Connection
2. VCOM Drivers installed on your machine. Find instructions on how to download and install them here C8 Downgrade Tool. Get it here
3. (HiFlashTool-C8-H352-A2-L-20160307.exe)USB CableTECNO Camon C8 running HiOS
Unzip the downloaded “HiFlashTool-C8-H352-A2-L-20160307.exe” package
Open the folder and RUNthe Downgrade PackageAS AN ADMINISTRATO
R(right click on the unzipped package and select run as administrator)
Let the package finish loading until you have something exactly like this ￼
With your C8 switched off, connect it to your computer using the USB Cable
When your computer recognizes the device, the downgrade process will automatically start
NOTE: DO NOT DISRUPT THE PROCESS (Either by closing the flashtool or disconnecting the device) UNTIL IT IS COMPLETELY DONE OR YOU WILL HAVE A DEAD PHONE.
When the process is done, you will see a green tick as shown below.
Disconnect your phone and power it on. You should now have Android Lollipop 5.0
